London Goodenough Association of Canada 26.04.2021

On Friday May 27th, Goodenough College and Massey College celebrated a milestone partnership, one that is united by the diverse academic pursuits of each of its members. Alumni of both organizations came together to toast the occasion and foster new friendships. Massey College Master Hugh Segal and Goodenough College Director Andrew Ritchie each spoke enthusiastically about the benefits of academic diversity and collaboration. Thanks to Leigh Allen for taking the photographs, and to all who joined us to mark this special occasion.

Dear LGAC Friends, I'm writing to announce that we have created a new, interactive, supplementary Facebook asset for our stakeholders called the LGAC Community Group Page, separate from the existing public Fan page. The new LGAC Community Group Page is PRIVATE. Here's why we created it:... If you're reading this post, it is because you're one of roughly 30% of the people who have "Liked" the London Goodenough Association of Canada's PUBLIC Facebook Fan Page. This is how the Facebook algorithm works. 100% distribution to all the people who have LIKED our Fan Page would require us as an organization to use promoted posts on a paid basis. Said another way, 70% of the people who LIKED the London Goodenough Association of Canada's Fan Page will not see our posts. It is therefore an inefficient means to communicate on Facebook, but it is Facebook's means of earning revenue. Our Facebook Fan Page is still relevant, largely because it is a public page, and, like our website and other digital assets, it helps us to promote the College to non-members and future residents. It still serves a purpose. It stays, and will be maintained as a priority. For enhanced community building, event promotion, and communication within our stakeholder group, we have created the LGAC Community Group Page. This is a very important tool for organizations such as ours. Within our Group page, each and every post gets distributed to group members by way of a notification whenever our group members open the Facebook app. To be effective, we need our community to join the Group Page. Here's the link to the LGAC Community Group Page. Please invite your LGAC network to join us here and contribute to our community in a constructive and positive way! https://www.facebook.com/groups/859602804179221/?ref=bookmarks Please spread the word, and do not hesitate to contact me if none of this makes sense. Thanks and kind regards, Hilary Carter LGAC Board Member
