All set up and ready to go, just waiting for much nicer weather.
Well after 3 months in the trees we finally found the missing Timber X. Still in excellent shape with only minor damage to the landing gear. Even the prop was still intact.
Once again it is my pleasure to introduce you to LMAC's newest pilot. Kevin Sanderson has not flown since the age of 13 and that ended in the loss of an airplane. Now here's Kevin back again and in just 2 short weeks has earned his wings and is ready to take to the sky's on his own. Presenting his wings is Larry Magill. Congratulations Kevin!!
Once again we are pleased to announce that we have another new pilot joining the ranks. We wish Alex Alcala many years of happy flying. Presenting his newly earned wings is Bo Grahl. Congratulations Alex!!
Congratulations to Bob McCallum for earning his wings today. Persistence pays off. Way to go Bob.
It is with great pleasure that we introduce newly inducted pilot Scott Jones into the group. Eight months of simulator flying and on his first day out to the field Scott earned his wings, which were presented by Larry Magill at a safe distance without touching. Congratulations Scott!
Just a little flyover of our field.
That just about sums it up. Thank you Covid19 and Lockdown measures.
Sorry to say that we are closed until the pandemic is over and life gets back to normal. Stay safe everyone.Sorry to say that we are closed until the pandemic is over and life gets back to normal. Stay safe everyone.
Finally, another nice day for flying. Low winds straight down the runway, a little cool but not bad. Several guys came out to enjoy the afternoon. The Twin Otter had 5 successful flights and landings. Very happy with this plane. Now for nicer weather so I can fly the Viper. I also added some extra markings to the bottom of the Timber X just to set apart from the rest.

Add one more to the fleet. E-flite Twin Otter.
New Years Day potluck and fun fly. A few members gathered for our annual event. This year the sky turned blue with plenty of sunshine and winds straight down the runway. Lot's of food and good company. Most enjoyable day. We also had out first mishap of the year, a minor crash in the woods.
Here is a little mod for your Spektrum transmitters. I chose the carbon fiber decal. Lot's of others to choose from. Check them out at Facebook/Ultradecals or www.ultradecals.com for more info. Pretty cool and easy to apply.
Now that fall is here I decided to go for a walk in the woods behind our flying field. I found this Apprentice which has been missing for 3 months. The woods are really thick with undergrowth in the summer, can't even look up to see the trees. I know there are 3 more planes out there so this one was just a start.
Check out the beautiful fall colours. Nice time of year, unfortunately followed by 5 months of winter.
October 20th, beautiful day for flying. Lot's of members came out to enjoy the warm weather and sunny skies.
