Due to the Provincial shutdown, all community centres are closed for indoor drop-in and indoor registered programs beginning December 26. Registration and start dates for indoor recreation programs that were scheduled to start in January will be suspended. When the Province has ended the shutdown, staff will contact participants who have registered for programs with information about a revised start date for Winter programs. The City of London is offering modified recreation and community programs in community centres and arenas beginning this Thursday, October 29, and Learn to Skat...e programs as of Saturday, October 31. Recreation and community programs have been modified, following a brief pause, to adhere to new health measures set out by the Middlesex-London Health Unit in a Section 22 Order last week. These measures include increased physical distancing and group size restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19. Following new health measures for indoor sport, recreational and fitness facilities recently announced by the Middlesex-London Health Unit, the City of London i...s pausing all recreation and Learn to Skate programs as of this Saturday, October 24. Participants who have registered for a City-run program at a community centre or arena starting this Saturday will receive a direct notification about this change and receive a refund or credit to their account for paid programs. We will continue to work with the Middlesex-London Health Unit to adapt and modify programs to meet the new health measures and ensure the safety of all participants, instructors and staff. Fall & Winter 2020-21 Registration Update: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will be digitally publishing modified Fall & Winter 2020-2021 program schedules in lieu of a full Recreation Program Guide. The release date for these schedules and corresponding registration dates will be posted beginning September 8, 2020 along with other details as they become available.

In response to COVID-19, City Council approved revised City service levels for the summer. Although the Province has lifted some restrictions, we will be following City Council direction to ensure the health and safety for our residents and staff as well as support our efforts for economic recovery. Community and Seniors’ Centre rentals and events for the month of July and August are cancelled with the exception of summer day camps. The City will not be accepting any new rental requests for Community and Seniors’ Centres until further notice. Please visit london.ca/COVID-19 for ongoing updates on City services during this time. Civic Gardens and Storybook Gardens will remained closed until September.
