This is what it is all about! This morning I received a text message from my friend and colleague Amy McNall of Unmistakably You. One of the bridesmaids for her wedding today had just called to tell her that (wait for it)...her dog ate her bridesmaids dress. (Not joking, sometimes you just can't make this stuff up) and they were wondering if I had contact info for the owner of the gown shoppe. Throughout the course of the morning Lynn Lu from Luere Luxury, Isabel Traher and h...er team from Sophie's Gown Shoppe London as well as friends and family members came together to figure out - now what do we do? After tons of calls, texts and a few meet ups I am thrilled to report that the bridesmaids gown was repaired and the wedding day is on track to be just stunning. At the end of the day it comes down to this... Was it the planners job to get the job fixed? No, Not really but Amy is awesome and wants to help in any way she can. Was it my job to help at all? Nope, I'm not even the photographer for this wedding. Was it anything to do with Lynn Lu from Luere? No, she had never seen the dress before but has mad skills from creating her own line of custom gowns Did Isabel Traher, her manager from Sophie's, or their head seamstress need to do anything? No, the dress safely left their shop, was altered etc and they weren't even open today! This right here is a perfect example of why caring, communication, collaboration & cooperation will win over competition every single time.
