Well another swimming lessons is in the books and one of our best yet!! Thanks to Brierwood Cafe and Redfern Farm Services for the treats for the swimmers. Also to Darrah for doing an awesome job with such a large group of kids!! To all the families who kept the place cleaned up and approached us with your compliments, it makes volunteering our time well worth it!!! Thanks again to everyone and see ya next year!!!!!!!!!

Just over 2 weeks till lessons [August 5] please register your children ASAP so we know how many instructors we need!! All of our serviced sites for camping are booked but if you need unserviced spots please book now so we can arrange things. Thanks!!!

Last night once again some lowlife's decided to mess with our floating dock and toss garbage everywhere!!! If anyone has any info please p.m. us or notify the R...CMP as a report is being made! Swimming Lessons AUGUST 6TH TO AUGUST 11TH book your spots !!!!!

HELP NEEDED!!! Unfortunately our caretaker for our campground has decided not to return this season. Jason and his family were simply amazing and will be sadly missed by all of us involved with Lonesome Oak Campground! We are in search of a new caretaker for our upcoming 2018 season. As we are volunteer ran, as well as a non-profit organization, we offer free seasonal camping in lieu of wages. Duties will include camping fees collection, clean up and mowing of campsit...es, washrooms and the beach, as well as various handyman jobs. Most jobs are or can be shared with local volunteers, however, it is expected that you be at the site most weekends to collect fees, help get into the sites and any other assistance that campers may need to make their stay a great experience. If you are a person who takes pride in making things better, and enjoy working with a great group of volunteers who have the same goal in mind, then please contact us and explain why you are the person we are looking for. We work hard at keeping Lonesome Oak Campground the treasure that it is! See more
