Hey Long Branch... here is the update on restrictions in Toronto from the Councillor. Try to support our local restaurants, wear a mask and wash your hands. Stay Well.
Hey Long Branch... We have been approached by some like minded folks in the Neighbourhood of Humbermede (Weston and Sheppard) who are trying to save a 250 year old Oak. You may have seen the article in the news and are wondering how you can help. Since this Toronto Star article has been published the campaign is 60% towards their target, so how can you not? The deadline for funds is Dec 12, 2020. You can buy a bracelet as a donation to the campaign or donate directly to the City of Toronto donate page and get a tax receipt for donations over $20. The links are in the article attached. https://www.thestar.com//help-us-save-torontos-oldest-tree
Feeling a little lost myself this morning as Remembrance on November 11th is important to my spirit. I visited both cenotaphs in Long Branch and the newly relocated cenotaph on the Humber College grounds at Kipling and Lake Shore. Three monuments that remember the soldiers that built this neighbourhood we share through toil and sacrifice.
Hey Long Branch. Here is an opportunity to help those in need.
