River Watch officially starts today, March 10. During the River Watch season, New Brunswickers should: Be prepared for possible flooding and have a plan to ev...acuate and be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours. Move belongings to higher ground if their property is near a waterway or is in an area that is prone to flooding. Report ice jams or rising water. If you need advice, contact the Emergency Measures Organization at 1-800-561-4034. Disaster financial assistance from government is only available to help New Brunswickers for losses that could not be insured. Overland flood insurance is available. Contact your insurer for more information. Visit www.gnb.ca/riverwatch and follow @NBEMO_OMUNB on Twitter and NBEMO - OMUNB on Facebook.

At approximately 9:35 pm on Friday, February 19th 2021, Hampton Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a Structure Fire on Viola Avenue in Hampton. Upon arri...val, crews were met with heavy fire conditions on both the exterior of the building and in the roof. We would like to thank Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department Inc., Nauwigewauk Fire Department , Norton Fire Department , Belleisle Valley Fire Dept , Upham Volunteer Fire Department , Long Reach Fire Department and PENINSULA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT for providing mutual aid.

It's getting messy out there, New Brunswick! Help keep emergency services safe by staying off the roads during a storm, and only call 911 for emergencies!

The New Brunswick Association of Fire Chiefs is the voice of over 5,000 officers and firefighters within the province of New Brunswick. The Bell Let’s Talk funding will allow the training and implementation of a peer support network for the firefighting community. Twenty firefighters will be trained who will then manage the peer support line. The network will aim to offer 24/7 peer support for firefighters who may be struggling with their mental health. #BellLetsTalk
