I wrote this for Dave Sweet and decided to post it because this can happen to anyone. I’m so sorry you are being attacked on Facebook. You have always been gr...eat to deal with over the past 20 years. I have never heard a complaint from anyone up here in Canada about any boxer you have sold. I know you are new to the USA and don’t have a reputation down there yet. Health testing is breeder knowledge to help breeders breed the best they can. I bought a puppy from you knowing the parents had not been OFA approved for hips and Thyroid. I was not worried because I know your lines. I will do my own health testing when Lola turns 2 years old and then decide if I want to breed her. Hip dysplasia is something I have had only once in 30 years of breeding boxers and I think the one case I had was due to injury as a small puppy. In that case I felt so bad I gave the owner a full refund and another puppy to help keep the other active. What people don’t understand is that if a genetic issue happens it will cost the breeder 10 fold in so many different ways. I know how good of a person you are and that if you had a difficulty you would stand behind it 100 precent. I can say this first hand. I bought a puppy from you over a year ago. I didn’t find one I liked in the first litter you showed me. Then Covid hit just before my Pick puppy From your second litter was to be picked up, you have kept her happy, safe and trained her for me while I wait to get her. 8 months later we finally are able to ship her to Canada. You offered me my money back or to take a puppy from another litter. You have been good and up front to deal with. Different breeders test for different issue. One of the most unhealthy dogs I ever bought was from a top breeder that did every test possibly. The dog I bought ended up with SAS and JKD. I never was worried about JKD or hip dysplasia before because I had never had it in 30 years. If I ever got another dog from those beautiful lines I would want testing on both parents for both issues. I am not out bashing the breeder because that doesn’t help. I let her know and trust she will do the right thing if she loves her animals as we do ours. I had a great Facebook site 4 years ago with 57 five star reviews. In one night I was attacked by a group of 3000 animal rights people about tail docking and cropped ears. To all you getting involved in other breeders business on these groups you should be supporting one another and educating each other, not trying to hurt one another. This is exactly what groups like Peta want. Facebook sold lots of is shares to their members. What you are doing here is in no boxers best interest. You need unity or pretty soon you will end up with not being able to dock tails and crop. Look what’s happening in Canada. Breeders need to stick together to deal with the real issues that are coming there way. If they get caught up spending this much time a negative energy because of one disgruntled customer that wants a deposit back they are not entitled too their energies are being waisted. I also know if this was a good person with a good reason wanting a deposit back you would have given it back. I am thinking this person rubbed you the wrong way and is now using Facebook to get back at you and by using Facebook I mean they are Using other people too. Their problem was they wanted breeding rights at pet cost with no limitations. Now they are using people’s time and emotions to bully you into discounting a price and wanting full breeding rights with no obligations. I would not be bullied either Dave Sweet See more
