Morning! Message to Food Bank Gardeners: All gardens should be harvested by tomorrow. If you plan to harvest after tomorrow, please let Joanna know. If not, volunteers will harvest any remaining gardens on Wednesday and donate the produce to the Food Bank. Thank you

A Huge thank you to the Creighton Volunteer fire fighters and all those who contributed to their food drive last evening!

Who wants to garden? The garden at the Food Bank is almost ready to plant. We are looking for individuals, families or groups who want to learn how to garden. The cost is FREE. ... We will provide potato, carrot, bean, and lettuce seeds and some small gardening tools. You MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT to planting, caring and picking your garden. You keep what you grow!!! Don’t know how to garden? Don’t worry! We will help you. Call Joanna at (204) 681-3149 or email [email protected] or sign-up at the Food Bank. Tentative plant day is June 10th.

WOW !!! Our local Co op store put together these Good bye to HUNGER bags.... and boy did customers respond!!! I love this kind of good news story! Way to go everyone!! ... PS.... if you are curious.....Items in the bags include : canned goods Vegetables Peanut butter Jam Canned meat Cereal Oatmeal Pasta Pasta sauce Diced tomatoes Apple sauce

A big shout out of appreciation to these wonderful ladies!! Almost a year ago, Holly Mansell decided to start making jewellery to provide a distraction from Covid-19. It soon turned into a family affair, as it was seen as a nice outlet for the kids to get involved with as well, and her daughter who was about to enter high school, took on the role of the business manager. With so many charities and people struggling, they made it their mission to donate a portion of their sale...s to those in need. Their website, www.cloverlaine.ca went live in November and their first chosen charity to support was the Saskatoon food bank (where the Mansell family lives). Seeing that many of the jewellery sales were to folks from Flin Flon and the surrounding area (Holly and Kerry’s hometown), they decided to support a charity close to home. Knowing that the Lord’s Bounty Food Bank would be great stewards, they made a $500 donation from December’s jewellery sales. They feel grateful for the opportunity to do so, and would like to thank the community for supporting them with this endeavour.
