This week's sketch in my #perpetualnaturejournal is one of several tamarack branches laying on the snow up to 40 feet from a tree we planted on the southern property line 30 years ago. I took a floor mat to sit on which kept my bottom dry but didn't stop it from sinking down into the deep snow while my feet stayed up higher on the bank - pretty uncomfortable but the weather was mild and I laughed at a squirrel who was scolding me from a maple tree up the hill. #canadianartist problems #enpleinair Thanks to Barb for inspiring me to get artsy outside today. I missed last week because it was so cold and then so snowy.
Recently got some new markers (and washie tape and a stencil) to play with. Which doodle do you like best?
If today was a little too snowy and white for you, maybe you need a colourful painting to brighten your life and help you dream of spring. Private message me for details about size and price for this "Pansy Pair".
Dahlias and sunflowers and zinnias! Oh my!
Happy Anniversary to my lovely cousin and her splendid husband - the inspiration behind my first Family Bouquet which features 12 gladiola buds and blooms to celebrate their wedding day along with lily of the valley and chrysanthemums to represent their birthdays in May and November. Wishing Katy and Scott many more years of happiness.
Gladiolas are a birth flower for August, particularly special to me because both my mother and my daughter were born in this month.
Hubby and I enjoyed a lovely morning at Au Beau Pré - Production St-Anicet picking our own bouquets - well, I skipped up and down the rows picking while he followed along with the vase of water. A wonderful outing that I highly recommend - beautiful time outside with plenty of room for social distancing and super friendly owners. #shoplocal #valleyvendor
