Fixed-Rate Mortgages A fixed rate mortgage is a mortgage that has a fixed interest rate for the entire term of the loan. Most fixed-term mortgages allow you to make partial prepayments towards the principal balance during the term. This month I celebrate the fourth year of my novel career in Financial Industry. Behind every job, there is a story. Here is mine: I remember the day when I left behind a full-time employment position at Creo/Kodak and a part time tutoring position for mathematics at the Academy for Math and Science after 12 years of working both jobs. It was not easy, but my husbands career in Real Estate and my love for math, inspired me to pursue a career in Mortgages.... After I completed the program at UBC, I received my licence on February 3rd, 2010. I soon realized that I had to apply my knowledge in the real world and commence my profession to become well known in the community. One week later, one of my friends asked me to refinance her mortgage; I was ecstatic to have my first client and my first question was: do you trust me enough to be my first client? The answer was: Lori, you are my best friend I trust you more than anyone. Like this, I began to gain experience in the field and I realized each client is different from one another and that I must use my problem solving skills in order to obtain the best product for my dear clients, who are also my friends. My passion for mortgages strengthened as I gained more and more mortgage inquiries. From each application I learned more and more, as I continued to educate myself and to share what I've learned. I offer creative, client confidentiality and the highest quality of service. But most of all, I offer my friendship and full desire to help. Today is not only about me, but also about you. I feel that without friends, life is empty, so let us continue to stay close and reach out for one another when we require support. Thank you and all the best to everyone.
