Moondawg Soldier's

It has been 5 years on August 24th since my Moondawg found his wings and changed his address to heaven. Every year we gather at the golden ears park or climb the Golden Ears mountain. This year with Covid and now park restrictions I understand if your not able to come. However I go, as it’s my journey to remember. Preparing for this hike every year gives me something to look forward too. It helps with the grieving process. I am so greatful for Karl and other boys, I’m great...ful for everyone who shows up, greatful for those who bought T-shirt’s. Greatful for the ones who buy shirts and post themselves wearing them. I’m super excited to give Karl his scholarship for kindness fund. Tomorrow morning August 8th 2020 meeting at the golden Ears water park @ 5:30am trying to get passes for the 6am registration. If we are unable to get into hike we are still going to meet at the Golden Ears water park. this will be my last Hike for Moondawg Soldiers as Karl has graduated. Thank you so much everyone for the love and support over the past 5 years. Forever Moondawgs Soldier.

Helllllo Moondawg soldiers friends and family An update of this years hike will still take place!!! August 8th 2020!!! We will be hiking West canyon trail. Golden Ears mountain BC. ... This has been a very unsure year of weather to go ahead , but the show must go on. With this year being the year that Karl Rekdal graduates. This was a personal journey to extend a thank you to Karl’s kindness to my son Loren Andres aka the Moondawg . We had some blips along the way, not selling enough shirts as I had hoped for and the fund I had set aside, crashed in the stock market in the beginning of the pandemic. So we have a smaller but still a generous scholarship of kindness fund. I’m greatful for everyone who has bought T-shirt’s , and participated in the hike over the past 4 years. I hope to see more faces and more hikers as this is 5 th year angelversary of Loren’s passing. Thank you again for everyone’s encouragement to keep hiking after everything that’s happened this year. As we get closer to August 8th we will be posting details of times of hike, the celebration dinner and awarding. Forever Moondawgs Soldier
