"There are no longer doubts that what happens in the brain influences what happens in the body." This idea is the cornerstone of HypnoBirthing. To practice self-hypnosis, relaxation and to understand the perfect design of a woman's body to give birth reprograms your mind and body to anticipate and ultimately achieve a calm, natural and joyful birth.

Just preparing for Class #2 tomorrow night and I really liked reading this. I feel like it sums up what HypnoBirthing is all about. "We teach you how to keep your mind out of the way while you do nothing but allow yourself to completely relax. With the help of your natural instinct, the perfect physiological order and design of your reproductive system will carry you through your entire birthing. If you keep your mind clear of chatter filled with questions, doubts, etc. on how to birth, it will happen on its own. Without this interference of your mind-talk, your natural instincts will take over for you." "You cannot improve upon a natural function. The answer is not to hinder it."

Every woman should feel empowered to birth instinctively - to connect deeply with her body and her baby. A good read about the different ways birth can be.

5 Tips for a Stress-Free Birth Hypnobirthing Canada > Articles > 5 Tips for a Stress-Free Birth 5 Tips for a Stress-Free & often pain free Birth Pain free birth...Although childbirth is a wonderful experience, it can also be a little bit daunting. Well, it doesnt matter whether it is your first time or fifth time, each labor experience tends to be completely different, and the experience will largely depend on how you plan for every situation. Fortunately, research shows that simple relaxation techniques can go a long way in shortening labor and making you feel relaxed throughout the process. To help you avoid unexpected anxiety and stressful situations during your birthing experience, we compiled a list of the top five tips for stress-free birth & often pain free birth. Read on to find out. Get a Birth Partner One of the easiest ways to ensure that you may often have a pain free birth is by having someone you love and trust besides you in the labor room. This could be your partner, a close friend, or a family member. Having someone you trust and who cares besides you is essential since you can express your feelings to this person during the entire process. You can be assured that there is someone who is willing to help and support you every single step of the way. Breathe and Stay Positive You can also enjoy a stress-free birth by staying positive and using breathing exercises to slow down your anxiety. Birthing experts say that slow, deep breaths tend to increase the amount of oxygen that gets into your muscles which helps them relax. You will be taught breathing techniques during your birth preparation classes to keep you calm and help you deal with the pain of labor effectively. If you arent enrolling for such classes, make sure that you look for books that can help you master various breathing techniques. Prepare Your Mind and Body for Pain-Free Birth Consider attending birth preparation classes since they can have a significant impact on the actual day that your baby arrives. As the popularity of HypnoBirthing the Mongan method increases so does research that supports the numerous benefits of hypnosis in labor. Research shows that hypnobirthing reduces the overall length of labor and provides the much-needed comfort during the process. Taking birth preparation classes such as hypnobirthing will not only offer comfort and calm during labor but also many profound effects that will help you in the long term after birth. Be Organized Planning is really essential when it comes to birthing. You need to make sure that you prepare everything that you will need so that you avoid running about the last minute trying to figure out what you want. Make sure that you have a plan a, b, and c in place to keep your mind relaxed and focused all the time. Pack your hospital bag well in advance since you know when the baby could arrive. You should also ensure that you have enough money to cater for your expenses. Such simple things will go a long way in ensuring that you experience a pain-free birth and get a relaxed baby. Choose a Safe Environment This is particularly essential if you have a home birth. You need to keep in mind that the environment you choose will have a profound effect on your overall birthing experience. A place that feels safe and intimate will provide the optimum environment for your birthing hormones and muscles. This is the primary reason why most of us go into labor at night! If you ever observe animals in your home give birth, you will notice that they often find the darkest and most private area of the house. Human beings, just like the other mammals, arent different. Therefore, make sure that the room you choose for your birthing process has dimmed lights and provides the much-needed calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Benefits of HypnoBirthing

The Mind Body Connection 19.10.2019

What is hypnosis? Most people think of stage hypnosis when they think of hypnosis (read people acting like chickens and not remembering a thing). Really though, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and you are relaxed but aware throughout. When you are in a relaxed state your brain wave pattern changes and your nervous system is releasing endorphins which allows your muscles to relax and all this becomes a beautiful feedback loop - the more your mind relaxes, the more endorphins and 'feel-good' neurotransmitters are released, the more your body relaxes, and the more the mind is able to create more relaxation.
