Bayfield days are getting longer!

We have been asked this question so many times, and now we finally have an answer. YES- we will be doing COVID-19 vaccinations at Michael's Pharmasave in Bayfie...ld, starting with ages 55 and up. At this time, it will be the AstraZeneca vaccine. We have not received a shipment schedule yet, but we are in the preparation stage. At this point, we ask that you do not call the pharmacy to try to get on a waiting list or book an appointment. We have an online system that will allow you to book a spot on our waiting list to be notified when we have appointments available to you. Hello Everyone! I hope you are all well and doing everything you can to stay healthy during this pandemic. Thank you to those who have sent messages and reached out to me during this time...it is much appreciated and I must say, I have really missed being part of your healthcare. It's been a month or more since I've given an update on the status of the clinic and many of you have been wondering what I've been doing for the past couple of months. It has actually been a ver...y busy 10 weeks around here and the clinic has had some new & improved updates! I have been working on a new website as well! As you may have heard on the news today, RMTs are now permitted to gradually restart Massage Therapy services. HOWEVER, this does not mean business as usual yet...but it is a step in the right direction! Our governing body, the CMTO has implemented a number of health and safety requirements which MUST be met before opening my practice. The clinic currently remains CLOSED until I can fulfill all of the requirements. Once this has been accomplished and I feel it is safe to practice, I will post the reopening date. When I am able to open, it is important to understand that the BENEFIT of treatment MUST outweigh the RISK to the Patient and the Massage Therapist. There will be some new protocols which need to be established and implemented for the safety of everyone and these will be explained to you in advance of your appointment. THIS IS A GRADUAL RETURN TO WORK FOR RMTs. If it’s deemed "essential" and you meet the criteria then you will be booked in, but for general treatments, please be patient as we aren’t able to provide those just yet. As we transition our clinic with the new standards & protocols, we all need to have patience, trust and compassion with each other and the process. Our new normal is going to look different, but you can be sure that you will continue to receive the same friendly, knowledgeable, caring and effective treatment at Massage Therapy on The Square! Your safety and well-being has always been and continues to be my priority. I look forward to the day when I can return to the profession I love and provide Massage Therapy for you! I want to wish my amazing patients and community a Happy Easter! Thank you all for your understanding, support and your best wishes to my family and I over the past 4 weeks of the temporary clinic closure. Thank you to those who wave on your way by, send messages to me or do shout outs on my walks or runs...they are all so much appreciated and I feel your love & kindness:) I miss seeing you and being your caregiver, but ask that you take good care of yourself in the meanti...me and do as much self care as necessary to keep your mind & body healthy. As we celebrate Easter this year, it's very important for all of us to stay healthy & safe and stop the spread of Covid-19 by continuing to self isolate and self distance ourselves. Sometimes life hands us decisions that are not easy to make...but we must do what is in the best interest of our patients. We are announcing that Massage Therapy on The Square will be refraining from taking patients until further notice in order to align with the best practices laid out by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario earlier today and to adhere to social distancing practices recommended by Ontario’s Ministry of Health. As we work with all age populations and ...the immuno-suppressed, it would be selfish of us to continue to practice and place our patients in jeopardy. Those currently booked will be contacted directly pending further announcements regarding the state of COVID 19.
