Our #top9 for 2020 is such a bittersweet collage. Perhaps a better word to describe the feelings this image conjures up is "saudade". Thank you to all of you who are sticking by us, hanging out with us in the Facebook members group and virtually working out with us. A big thank you also to those of you who also came back to the gym when we temporarily reopened for a few months. And to those we haven't seen since March, your virtual check ins and words of encouragement have me...ant a lot as well. We miss you all. We are looking forward to 2021 where, hopefully, covid is eradicated and we can see your smiling, sweaty faces in person soon. Until then please stay safe and healthy!

Come in for your last chance to punch and kick heavy bags before we go back into lockdown on Monday! A big thank you to those of you who came out to train this week; you helped make this a glorious one week of operations for us. And while we recognize the gravity of the soaring covid case counts, we can't help but feel frustrated at the Ford government's handling of this 2nd wave. The initial tepid response showed that gyms and restaurants being closed had no effect on the... transmission of covid, yet here we are faced to lockdown again. Meanwhile big box stores, that were never required to implement contact tracing and have totally relaxed customer capacities are still allowed to remain open during this lockdown. And speaking of contact tracing, due to limited resources in Toronto, contact tracing has been rolled back for almost 2 months now. So with no data, this 2nd lockdown is definitely NOT evidence nor science based. And a closer look at what the Province has allowed to stay open versus what it is forcing to close shows that the government has really bungled the handling of this 2nd wave.

If you had a recurring membership before this 2nd shutdown (in October), your membership will be reactivated so you can book into spots on Sunday, November 15th. We can't wait to see you again soon!

As per our email sent to everybody this afternoon: After careful consideration, we have decided to not reopen on Monday, October 19th as we had originally announced. We are sorry for getting everybody's hopes up and want everyone to know that it wasn't a decision that came to us easily. After a week of confusion, it has now been made clear that the Province and the City of Toronto interpret this new 'modified' Phase 2 differently and Toronto Public Health expects all gyms, fi...tness facilities and Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) member gyms (of which we are recognized under) to be closed. Initially, with other Muay Thai Ontario PSO gyms staying open this week and with no directive from Muay Thai Ontario, we thought that we could safely and legally operate. Sadly, it turns out that this is not the case and we will remain closed. To get a sense of the initial confusion and Toronto Public Health's position, this article on CBC sums it up well. All recurring memberships will remain on hold until we re-open. We have some ideas to keep everyone active, so make sure to stay tuned on the Facebook Members' group and Instagram. Hopefully this second wave will be contained soon and we can get back to punching and kicking with you again. Until then, please stay safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued support!

We're re-opening!! Classes will resume on Monday, October 19, 2020. As a martial arts school and training facility, we are a business that can open under Phase 2 restrictions as we adhere to our Provincial Sport Organization's covid safety measures.... All memberships that were reactivated after July 2020 will be reactivated (again) on Sunday, October 18th. See you all again soon!
