"This was by far the hardest EMC race, and we have done them all. I think it was just the rocks. I mean, the rocks were insane. And the desert section was rough...er than usual. Shane Dahlquist came out from South Dakota to race in the incredibly talent rich T2 class in a truck that he built with his own hands over the past nine years. ... Shane and his son Shad suffered a brutal rollover on race day, but walked away with just some bumps and bruises. The important thing to take away is that they could have come up with a million excuses on why they couldn't make this race, but they didn't. They showed up. And they will be back.
