Repost from @smitten_for_reggio via IG Lulu’s been exploring numbers with sumblox for a couple days now. I didn’t explain how they worked when she first started playing, i just wanted to observe what she did. She naturally started stacking them, and soon realized that some numbers stacked on top of each other, were the same size as others stacked. I helped to guide her to think about addition. She’s been making as many combinations as she can, using this new knowledge. Sumb...lox are math building blocks whose individual size is proportional to the number value. Place a 1 block on top of another 1 block, and it’s the same height as the 2 block an ingenious way for budding mathematicians to explore the foundations of mathematics through hands-on, 3D play. Learn more about sumblox on our website! https://louisekool.com/collections/sumblox
