Happy Halloween to EVERYONE

October 23rd is "Take Me Outside Day". It is a day to bring awareness about the importance of going outside. Learning can be extended from the classroom or home and can be taken outside. We can learn so much from playing outside and develop many skills such as gross motor and fine motor development, learning about different cultures, learning about how our world works, you can also bring science, math and english classes out into nature. Getting all set up for Halloween. I love Halloween because I love dressing up and handing out candy. It is always so much fun to see all the different costume ideas everyone has each year. Flash back memory to my favorite Halloween costume from when I was little. I was an oxo cube. I sadly don't have a photo of myself dressed up that year but I think I was about 4 years old. My mum wanted me to be warm as we had just moved to Canada and were not used to the weather yet. I put a picture of what a oxo cube is if you are not sure. By far my best costume choice to date :D. You would always find me riding my bike or at the park at the end of the street. We are so lucky here in Calgary to have so many great parks, nature pathways and open fields we can run around in. Even now as an adult you can find me going for walks and enjoying the great views and fresh air.
