Love Bros & Lee is offering hunts to Canadians at par. Yes our website shows US$ and it's not easy to change ($$) but we have always offered a break to Canadians in Cdn funds. Because we pay the flying (and still have a lot of other expenses) we are not able to offer big sales nor take 1 hunter at a time. But if we can take 3 or 4 hunters to a camp we will.

We're still hanging in, hoping that we'll get to have a hunting season this fall.

Method of take is rifle or bow. This hunt is available August 31st - September 10th, 2020 or 2021 and may be upgraded to include moose, caribou, black bear and wolf at $3,000 for each harvested animal. Wildlife interests coming together to make a difference!

Ronald Gordon Fleming & Love Bros. & Lee Ltd. v. HMTQ and Doug Donaldson (Minister of Forests, Lands, Natural Resources and Rural Development) (the Defendants and/or the Province) Our lawyers were recently successful in defending against a preliminary application brought against us by the Province in the proposed Grizzly Bear class action. The Province took the position that they needed more information (particulars) in order to understand the claim and to defend itse...lf, and alleging that the claim was not well enough described. The Court accepted our arguments that the Province had sufficient information in order to defend the claim at this time. The Honorable Madam Justice E. McDonald, ruled that the Notice of Civil Claim filed on December 18, 2018, provided the Defendants with sufficient information to know what the Claim was and that additional particulars were not required at the current stage of the proceedings. Accordingly the Judge dismissed Provinces application and awarded costs to the Plaintiff. The next date anticipated in the case is the certification hearing planned to take place in the Spring or Summer of 2020. See more

A couple recent updates regarding the class action lawsuit: First the judge assigned to the case has been changed to the Honourable Madam Justice McDonald. Second we have a hearing date of September 4th!... We are excited that the case is moving forward and will continue to provide updates as things take shape...and as were able to from camp! Moving along.................. We are pleased to share that a judge has been appointed to oversee the grizzly bear class action case! The wheels of justice may turn slowly but this is another step in the right direction. The next one is to achieve certification, which we are hopeful will happen before fall hunting season starts.

Awesome support here in Texas......... Dallas Safari Club DSC is eager to support Ron Fleming, a fellow CBEO member, and the other BC outfitters who have been negatively affected by the BC government's unjustified closing of the grizzly hunt. As such, on Saturday night, DSC will auction a BC grizzly bear hide that is wet-tanned and ready for taxidermy. Additionally, a six (6) day black bear hunt with Driftwood Valley Outfitters Ltd. in British Columbia is part of this package. All of the proceeds from this auction package will be sent directly to support the class action against the BC government.

The Guide Outfitters Association of BC is aware that Ron Fleming, owner of Love Bros & Lee, has filed a class action suit in BC Supreme Court yesterday, seeking compensation for all guide outfitting businesses following the governments December 2017 decision to ban grizzly bear hunting across the province. The suit alleges the decision was taken for inappropriate reasons, without regard to proper wildlife management practices, and with the knowledge that the decision would c...ause harm to guide outfitters. We believe that to manage wildlife properly, all species must be managed. Choosing to not manage grizzly bears will have unintended consequences. With 245 guide outfitter businesses, the BC industry is an important contributor to the local economy, jobs and quality of life in rural and remote areas. These businesses directly employ more than 2,000 people whose livelihoods are now at risk. GOABC is disappointed that this type of legal action is necessary but fully supports members who chose to participate. Meanwhile, GOABC wishes to continue working productively with government, on this matter and all others our industry faces. It is our objective to maintain a positive reputation for the industry while working to improve wildlife populations in the province.
