Hey! I'm Maggie! I'm a young 5.5 year old American Bull Dog -- big hunk of love! I'm friendly, love people, dogs, & display good house manners. Love Those Seniors & More will rescue me from the shelter, but needs a foster home. Can you please help me! I'll love you back in spades! Promise! Yeah, I'm overweight at 80 lbs (owner didn't exercise me), have skin issues & on meds -- rescue will help me resolve these issues. I'm ADOPTED!! Yay! Almost 2 months ago, our parents left my little brother, Milo, & I at the shelter. They said they couldn't care for us anymore. Truthfully, they hadn't been providing much care anyway. Now we were really in a mess! 2 pooches, 1 with a serious untreated medical issue needing a home. Rescued! Down the 401 we came with Critter Cabs transport to Love Those Seniors & More. We were a pretty sad & mournful looking pair! Into a foster home we went -- WOW! Yummy,... good nutrition, cuddles, snuggles, soft comfy beds for our senior bodies, & walks in the neighbourhood to check out good smells & explore. The rescue had Milo assessed & he's on good medication now & feels so much better. Me - I'm pretty healthy, happy & confident! Life is wonderful!! I wiggled my little adorable self into their family, & my foster parents adopted me!! Tee Hee!! Milo is staying too! I'm so devastated & crying so many tears, I can't write. Our sweet, good natured, loving soul, Rosco, has passed over the Rainbow Bridge. We only rescued him 3 weeks ago. He was responding to medication, doing okay, & happy. Just this morning, he ran down the backyard chasing after a squirrel! I laughed at him! This afternoon he was in distress. I could see his abdomen was filling with fluid. I rushed him into the vet, looking for treatment & to book an ultrasound. The vet... was stunned at how he looked now compared to when she saw him previously. She rushed him into x-ray -- his heart was now really enlarged, & his chest & abdomen were filling with fluid (not edema). He was drowning! When she came out & said "he has to go", I stupidly said, "Where?"? When she said "to heaven", I was stunned & just sat there. She showed me the x-rays - OMG! I cuddled & talked to him while she put him down. I'm crying; my vet is crying. I've asked my crew over the Rainbow Bridge to help Rosco -- he has no one there for him. I know they'll help. See more

RESCUED!! Hi -- I'm Patches, recently arrived to Love Those Seniors & More. Whew! Life has it's hurdles, & it's been confusing & stressful for me. I'm a sweet, loving senior Shih Tzu who found myself trying to cope with my very senior parents. I'm pretty slim, & I've lost hair on my body. Mom went into a senior's home, & Dad eventually moved in with family. Moving in with the busy family didn't work well for me. Sigh! I was moved in temporarily with a nice older 'caregiver' lady while 'they' decided what to do with me. They sought a rescue for me, & here I am!! Please welcome me, Patches, to venture on to another life! Mom Sue says I'm a great little girl! Please like me! Patches.
