Just thought I would share a sweet video of one of our past farm camp summers ! Pardon the cheesy music, but look at the joy in these kids faces! My reason for what I do! Obviously because of Covid this year we will have to adapt some of our activities, but I anticipate it to be just as amazing!

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO OFFER THIS AMAZING EXPERIENCE IN QUALICUM, ON THIS INCREDIBLE 20 ACRE PIECE OF LAND. Camp runs from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and the age group is 5-12 year olds!

In the mean time, here are the dates for this summer season of camps!!! Age groups for all of the camps is 6-12 years of age due to COVID. I am hoping to add a few half day camps for 3-5 year olds. All camps listed are form 8:30-2:30.... DAY CAMPS - COST $50 PER DAY (reg. $60) giving a small discount Due to COVID Even though my cost has risen) Aug. 6 - Hidden life of trees, Farm animals, Emily Carr, harvest & more! Aug. 11 - Human Brain, Hidden life of trees Cont’d, goats, Dream catchers, Harvest & more Aug. 12 - Human Heart, sheep, harvest, Rock Art, & more! Aug. 13 - Frida Kahlo, brain games, affirmations & the power of our thoughts, farm animals, harvest and more! FULL WEEK CAMPS - COST $50 per day = $250 for the full week. FULL WEEK ONLY. Cost $60 per day = $300 per week, Decrease in cost is to help those affected by COVID) Week 1 - Aug.17-21 BEE WEEK, Hidden life of trees forest exploration and learning, arts and crafts, yoga each am, harvest, farm animals, th emiportance of community and more! Week 2 - Aug. 24-28 HARVEST AND ART WEEK, sheep week, farm animals, the importance of connection to nature and each other, The edible forest, daily yoga and more!! I hope that these descriptions are helpful. It is challenging to describe everything that we do in a day...it may seem a lot but there is also time to slow down and be quiet. PLEASE NOTE: Re: COVID - restrooms will be disinfected after each use, hand washing will be continuous through, children’s will have their own designated space for their things with thier name labeled, children will have a work space with their names to use for the camp and to do activities while waiting for all the children to arrive etc. and more. We believe that our 20.5 acre farm and the old growth forest behind us, is the one of the greatest places for kids to come to feel alive and free during this interesting time. Introducing the New Freedom Farm. This post is definitely bitter-sweet. I have been off social media since last season with the exception of one post. This past year has been very challenging to say the least. I have deeply loved each and every child that has come to our farm to attend camp and am eternally grateful for the support of each and every one of you who helped our farm become such a success in such a short time. With the rising cost of land in the lower main...land, it eventually became apparent that $1.6 million for bare, flooding land in cloverdale, with no home would never happen, nor would that be a practical purchase should we have been able to make it happen. So, to continue our dream we have re-located to QUALIUCM BEACH on Vancouver Island. It is our hope that we will be able to impact the lives of even more children there. It is a tourist town in the summer. Perhaps it would appeal to families on the mainland to send their kids to our camp ( on 20.5 acres backing on to crown forest land), while the parents shared the day together child free? Additionally there is an amazing community of children on the island who will benefit from what we do and what we will evolve to do. Our goal is to provide children with experiences they will never forget, connect them to the earth, nature, it’s animals, each other. Only when our children are connected to our earth will they fight to save and preserve it. Studies are showing this time and time again. Not to mention, the MANY health benefits of being in the forest, in the soil etc. as well as connecting with each other. We will be offering two weeks of farm camps at our new location (Aug. 10-14 & Aug. 17-21). Stay tuned for details. If you know anyone on the island who you think would enjoy what we have to offer, please share our page with them. Perhaps you know someone on the mainland who would love to send their kids to camp while they spend some time together? We are 3 minutes away from the town of qualicum beach and 12 minutes to Parksville. Please stay tuned as we will share recipes and little bits of health info weekly as well as farm updates!
