There is nothing worse than falling in love with a dress only to find out you can’t afford it! 2) Size Matters: Buy a dress in your current size, not the size you hope to be when you get married, it’s easy to pull a dress in, not so easy to let it out! You’ll look beautiful in a dress that fits, not one that is way too tight in all the wrong places. 3) Bride Tribe: We know it’s the most important dress you'll ever wear and that you want it to be perfect, but having 100 different opinions just gets confusing! Most brides do best with 2-3 people! #weddingdress

On today's #tiptuesday, we're on the topic of flowers. We love love love weddings with floral arrangements that make an impact. Although most brides are shocked by the hefty dent to their budget, here are some tips to consider when discussing options with your florist; 1. Reuse reuse reuse!!! Ever been a bridesmaid and said "what do I do with my bouquet?" and it ends up being left somewhere like (cough cough) the bar? Well, take those bouquets and add them as centrepieces, or... extra decor to your sweetheart/head table. 2. Speaking of a head table, garlands are a hot trend for 2017. Use that garland to drape over an arch or a backdrop to your ceremony. Afterwards, lay it across your reception table! 3. On the topic of trends, we all know #greenery is the colour of the year. Want a full and bountiful bridal bouquet but shocked at the cost? Ask your florist for fewer primary florals (roses/peonies) and add lots of luscious foliage to create that "hand picked" bouquet we swoon over. 4. Although Costco may seem like an economical option, trust us... DO NOT DIY your own bouquets. It's #tiptuesday, so let's talk about the dreadful seating chart! Once your RSVP's start coming in, here's a few tips on how to tackle one of the most challenging #weddingplanning projects; 1. We always suggest a large chart of some sort (such as in the picture). Printed names on individual tented escort cards are our ultimate nightmare. When we have to place each card, a task that actually takes FOREVER, our OCD kicks into high gear to make sure they are perfectly aligned f...or guests & photos. They just never look as good as a simple #seatingchart. Oh and if your display is outside, cards are a faux pas thanks to Mother Nature (wind/rain). 2. It's best to have your seating chart showcased in the cocktail area so guests can take a look during the 1-2 hour timeframe. It avoids having 150+ ppl hovering over the display all at once if it's only visible in the reception area. 3. There's nothing like a good ol' fashion board and post it's to draft up your seating plan. It's a lot easier to visualize where guests are sitting and who/what will be surrounding them. Be mindful of elderly guests and children, avoid placing them beside the speakers/DJ or band.
