Oh Ethel, how I needed you so. This project took longer than any before it. My time with Ethel was stolen snippets, that quickly became an integral part of my soul’s survival. Ethel offered me moments of mindful quiet in the midst of the magical colourful carnival that are my kids. Though I love them madly, I also love my time alone working with my hands. Thank you Ethel and special thanks to all that support my time in my studio.

People sometimes ask how I learned to restore furniture on my own. The truth is nothing I have done has been on my own. Every project has a teacher with lessons left by the hands before me - known as witness marks. This piece is brilliant. I would love to shake the hands that made it. Thank you. Hanzel has been restored and outfitted in a beautiful retro velvet. Now ready for coffee, conversation and contemplation in one of the funkiest kitchens in Muskoka.

A quirky little side project I became quite enamored by. Now affectionately known as Wendy, this beautiful rocker was found on the side of Burnel road just before the high school. I can’t remember the exact house but if anyone knows who it belonged to please let me know. I would love to give it back.
