A repetition of tiny bowls is a favourite meditation. Now I’ll switch spots with Cait so she can do the finishing and I can do nap time. Finding balance feels lovely.

She’s been carrying our baby for 33 weeks today and now she’s learning the studio side of the family business too! There is nothing she can’t do. I’m thrilled to share clay skills with my one and only darling and can already see she’s a natural.

More handles for extra large round mugs today. Each one is pulled, left to dry just a little and then attached to its pot. I like imagining who might be enjoying a morning coffee out of them soon.

Although the snow piles are getting deeper, everything inside our home is radiating new life. Our baby is growing everyday along with the excitement of the unkn...own. Today I had an overwhelming sense of being pregnant with possibility while admiring my literally pregnant beauty wife. Along with this came inspiration for a new line of lady pots I’m thinking of calling fertility goddesses. I am consistently in awe of what our love together has created. My darling is growing us another love bug and I couldn’t be happier. Baby is currently the size of a lime but I know it’s growing as fast on the inside as Jude & Rae are on the outside.

I took a selfie to send a friend. I wanted her to see me wearing the beautiful scarf she gifted me. I looked at it more closely after sending it on to her and thought..... I love that face. I love that lady. I want this face in my little boxes of images on here. So here I am folks!

Recently got some fabulous shampoo & conditioner bars from our friends at @sustainecostore and decided I needed to make some more soap dishes.

We had to move the picnic table into the sun part way through our soup lunch to keep warm. I love summer almost as much as I love signs that the season is changing.

I was just finishing up with some customers at the gallery when I saw my adorable family. They were setting up a thoughtful lunch on our picnic table. It was a Divine meal. Made with love. Enjoyed with love. A perfect meal in all regards.

During my coffee this morning I tried taking a photo of a mug that returned to me lately. The sun coming through the window was strong and this beautiful silhou...ette appeared. The mug returned to me because it was my grandmas and she died not long ago. I imagined her thinking of me when she used it and now I was thinking of her as I used it. It felt peaceful. It felt like she was speaking to me through Rae. See more

Strawberry picking twice in one week means strawberry pancakes are a must.

Sundays were made for this. Nana showing us her ways of making pasta. Feeling like theres enough time to play and experiment. My heart has been calling for thi...s slower life for a long time. Allowing myself to choose this over so many other more productive things feels empowering. I think its why Ive been drawn to make lots of pasta bowls too! A friend recently told me about a glass studio that showcases its pieces on the outside of its building. I think Im going to be adding more because I love how it looks and customers can shop while keeping socially distanced. Feels like a win-win!

Were so happy to have Kaslo back in the studio and gallery! We are both sharing our time between the 2 spaces so depending on the day ... you might be greeted ...by her light filled face instead mine. I have been proud of many of the accomplishments in my life. I am now learning how to be proud of myself for just being without doing. A favourite feeling of mine is when theres no overthinking or anxiousness in regards to how something will work out and then it ends up better than I could hav...e ever imagined. I put my own twist on this dish from the inspiring @woon.heng. No worry or fussing while making it. All the colours, shapes, sizes and textures are so visually satisfying. Combining food and pots I enjoyed making feels like a spiritual act. Setting the intention for more of this approach to living. See more

Looking at this photo of our winter solstice gathering is reminding me of the immense joy we felt while living a dream come true. Hosting loved ones to celebra...te the new season with ceremony and heart songs was such a gift. This summer solstice looked very different on the outside with a different kind of joy growing from within. I know theres still more work to do but I believe this dream were working on now will be the greatest one to date! Self love & acceptance is on the horizon and I couldnt have asked for a stronger or more inspiring partner to walk this path with. Ive been quiet for a few weeks. I keep asking myself .... what can I share with you that hasnt already been said? For me, the past few months have been a deep... dive into self acceptance. Learning to see myself from a different perspective has been hard work, emotional, fulfilling and just the beginning. Ive been shown many areas in my life that need tending, healing and understanding. I have started to understand how many of my actions/inactions have been hurtful to myself and others. I havent known what this post would look like because it felt extra important during this time. The work in this photo is a true connection of heart, mind and body. It feels representative of the personal work Im doing. I will continue to take many small steps to live a life I can be proud of. See more

Ive been given the opportunity to get intentional lately with what I really want for this life of mine. Ive been taking things day by day and not thinking to...o much about the future. All of a sudden, the long weekend is here and Im at a bit of a loss for what to do. For the 10 previous years......this has been our opening weekend of the year. A winter of hibernation and creation and then opening our doors this weekend to greet friends new and old. This is usually the time to start gearing up for a non stop summer. This year is different. Everything has changed including myself. Ive got new signage prepped on the building where there will be news of what you can expect of us in the coming months. The words are yet to be written. I know in my heart what feels right but I havent quite found the words to express it. Not yet. Tomorrow is a new day and Ill try again. See more

Im sure it will sound simple and cheesy and you might even roll your eyes but I realized very recently on a much deeper level that my higher power is Love. Love with a capital L.

A wise friend pointed out to me that the emotional roller coaster I likened my life to in my last post was not really accurate. A roller coaster would mean Im ...repeating the same loop with the same highs and lows. Id like to reframe it to be described as an emotional adventure where Im finding answers to hard questions. Who am I? What do I really want for myself? How do I let go of pain and fear to achieve true happiness? I may go in some loops sometimes but Im beginning to see myself from a new perspective which is changing how I feel in the world. Just when I thought I knew, I realized I didnt. 39 years now in the making and I just keep evolving. This new year for me has started off with some powerful realizations that will propel me forward to follow my heart. Thank you to all those that sent love my way in all the forms for my birthday. It was sweet and simple and perfect and real. Summer has always been a very busy time for us. The gallery open everyday, running daily classes and trying to squeeze in the fun social gatherings that only su...mmertime brings. I know its pointless to try to figure out what summer will look like for us this year so weve decided to plant a garden! Today we planted seeds for sunflowers and lavender. Veggies are up next. I havent had a lot to say about life lately. Ive put a lot of focus into making pots and posting them online to sell. Ive sold a bunch and am SO grateful to ...all the generous customers. If youre interested, check out my highlighted stories for whats still available. I created a little system to help keep financial goals in check and I questioned how much I need to feel secure? I came up with a number in dollars that I thought would be realistic. Now that Im making that goal a reality Im questioning it because really.... its not about the number. Its about a feeling. I realize we need money to pay bills but really if Im being honest with myself, I know I already have all the things I need to thrive at life. I have loved ones and I have my own tender heart. Theres been a lot of feelings building up and Ive been trying to figure out how to work through them instead of shut them off. I could have just glazed this p...izza platter and left it plain but I decided instead to cover it in hearts. A meditation of love. I reminded myself of the gifts I have to offer. I whispered all the things Im proud of myself for and almost none of them had to do with making money. It felt therapeutic and sweet and needed. Everyone is sick in our house right now. Tickles in throats and raspy coughs and never ending runny noses. I was feeling a little sorry for myself having to com...e back down to the studio to finish glazing and get the kiln on before sleep but this vision when I walked in was a sweet reminder of how lucky I am. This is my place of work! Look at that sunshine and natural light! The commute down here was only about 100 paces. My belly is full of food made with love. Reminders to be thankful are all around me. This evenings work is already thanking me for my change in perspective. See more
