Trusting in your self & trusting in your own power The way we gain trust in ourselves is by not braking our word to our self and creating and enforcing our boundaries. For example, during the day you say I’m going to have a bath tonight and make myself something deliciously healthy. Then at the end of the day you decide you are too tired and you go home to do what you "need" to get done and by this time we are extremely tired. We finish what we are doing and maybe sit down an...d watch Netflix. And then bed time is here and we crawl in to bed. Now when you said during the day about the bath and healthy food there was a part of you that got a little excited. This part of you is like an expectant little kid, and when we don't follow through we let this little kid down and we begin to not believe ourselves. I was taught that it was wrong and selfish to put myself first especially as a mother. But I have learned that self care is top priority. When I am filled up I have more to give. When we have clear boundaries and integrity with ourselves we become stronger, more resilient and most of all we will trust ourselves. Did I mention you will also be happier? See more
