FYI: I am on a reduced hours schedule & will be working remotely until April 6th, 2020. I anticipate at this point child care facilities will re-open and things will return to business as usual. Although you may experience slight delays from me in terms of replying to emails or returning phone calls, I want everyone to know I am striving to keep up with my current workload and am interested in additional opportunities. In fact, it might be a great time to review your web pres...ence and work towards bringing your website to "the next level" in terms of how well it markets your business, and how well it ranks in the search results. If business has slowed, it's a great time to work ON your business, as opposed to IN your business. I will be doing all consultations and meetings remotely for the time being, however I can assure you the same conversations and advice can be delivered in this manner. Please remember that whether you're a personal friend, a client, or someone who I know from networking that a referral is the highest form of compliment. I appreciate any time someone thinks of me, especially right now. ~Derrick

I wanted to share a video that continues to resonate with me 7-8 years after I originally saw it. The whole thing is good, but the most important part is the 13-19 minute mark. It comes back to mind every year or two for me, for different reasons. This time, it's just a reminder of the difference between giving something a shot, just to see if it works or being certain of your own potential and the goals you're trying to achieve. Your mindset = the action you take = the results you'll achieve. It's simple, but sometimes we all need that reminder to refocus/level up. ~Derrick

Something I started doing but rarely talk about that's on the more affordable side of things is a 1 page template site. It's great if budget is the most important goal of your web design needs, which was the case with this not for profit sports camp. The main differences between this and the full treatment I give to the majority of my clients (aside from price) are: 1) Design isn't custom. It's a selection between 2 or 3 curated templates... 2) Customization options are limited 3) Only basic SEO efforts made 4) No content/headline brainstorming or marketing strategy Cutting these corners isn't generally advisable, as it limits the potential of driving real leads and increased sales to your business, but at the same time I understand that sometimes budgeting restrictions must be a part of the decision making process. If all you need is a professional looking website at a price that's less than half of the cost of my full service treatment, this might be for you. Check out the website & let me know what you think! http://www.littlevikingssportscamp.com

While many web designers can make a great looking website, do they seem interested in converting browsers into buyers? This is an important consideration. While we're not the experts in your line of business, we can add a lot of value to your home page to ensure not only that your voice is heard, but that the content contains the right keywords and language to attract more leads from search engines & convert those leads into buyers. In order to accomplish this, we'll brainsto...rm with you to discover things you might not have thought about, in a while. What problems do you solve for your customers? What triggers your customers to begin searching for a solution to the problem you solve? Why do customers think you do better at solving their problem vs your competitors? The attached screenshot is an example of a web page we created that not only contains the right keywords to attract more leads from search engines, but we also helped them improve their copy so leads quickly understand what makes them a superior choice amongst competitors. Combine that with ensuring "calls to action" are present will help ensure they convert as many browsers into buyers as possible. Drop us a line if you'd like to discuss creating a website for your business, with lead attraction and conversion in mind :) ~Derrick

I'm going to share a couple of cyber weekend deals for stuff I either promote to my customers, or give them without them knowing. The first is one of two companies I trust for web hosting. I used to use bigger/more familiar companies that were cheaper, but I found over time they weren't as secure, fast & reliable as I wanted for my customers. There were too many issues with slow load times, hacking & malware. WP Engine addresses all that. It costs a bit more than the more well known companies, but this coupon (5 months free on annual plan) brings their price down to a totally reasonable cost for the first year, to try them out. I can even help you migrate your Wordpress website if you get stuck and want personal service, although their service is very good. Here's the affiliate link with coupon applied: https://wpengine.com/plans/
