"Delirium" by Deirdre McCleneghan and Charlotte Louise Hunt is an artwork influenced, and in response to "The Yellow Wallpaper". The story’s first person narration is a harrowing experience of anxiety, depression, and confinement, with startling hallucinogenic flashes. The artists developed a "floral decay that breaks, weaves, pulsates; echoing the writer’s sense of disorientation and panic. The 75 foot mural is on display at Lowlands until Nov 7! . "Looked at in one way eac...h breadth stands alone, the bloated curves and flourishes - a kind of " debased Romanesque" with delirium tremens - go waddling up and down in isolated columns of fatuity. But, on the other hand, they connect diagonally, and the sprawling outlines run off in great slanting waves of optic horror, like a lot of wallowing seaweeds in full chase." -The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilmore @ Highlands
