You can always find a way to make it work. But no matter how challenging or busy life becomes, we need to make time to show the people in our lives that we care about them. Today we get a history lesson on this special building we now call home. We feel like we have officially been passed the torch now and look forward to continuing the story. You were Spike’s mom’s hair salon in Degrassi Junior High, you had your insides covered in graffiti that was still showing through the white wash when we moved in, you were Cleese Catering, Paulette’s, Delica, a biryani place th...at never really opened and now you are @the_pumps . Most importantly though, you’ve been my home for 14 years. I was a baby of 24 when I first moved into you. Someone threw their mom through your front window. A raccoon broke in to steal dog treats. Water poured from your ceiling one night when I was pregnant. We survived a nearby bomb threat and not one but two giant fires next door, many, many months of condo construction where I was sure one of us would crumble and so much neighbourhood change. I’ve dealt with an unimaginable amount of pain and loss inside your walls but I’ve gained so much strength, made so many friends and experienced many joys. And oh the parties we’ve had. Soon the last of our stuff will be packed and someone else will add to your story. I’m going to miss you so much but The Pumps brothers are going to take good care of you promise.
