Our Free Weekly Distro is still on as usual, even in light of the stay at home order, because food provision is an essential service. We will continue to keep a strict capacity limit for our collective safety. See you tomorrow 130 to 530pm at Luther! Stay safe folks

One year ago today, ‘Wolverine Watch’ support and supply camp on Cas Yikh was invaded in a pre-dawn raid. Heavily armed militarized police with attack dogs came... barging into a peaceful and ceremonial site alongside the Morice Forest Service Road at 39km and arrested everyone on site, except media. Media were forced aside and taken off the territory while Indigenous women and supporters were arrested and removed from our yintah. A place that provided essential food and supplies to the camps behind the blockades was taken downa place where Chiefs and community members came to offer their support and where many visits around the fire lasted late into the night because the comradery and friendship seemed more important than sleepand we all knew what came next. The six who were arrested spent the day in jail and were released later that evening with no charges as they were not in breach of the injunction. The police violently arrested everyone, dragging one woman naked through a broken truck window, without any western legal authority and in violation of Wet’suwet’en law. All in an attempt to get to Gidimt’en Check-point and finally, Unist’ot’en. It was the first day of a 5 day attack on our yintah. But, the crew at Wolverine Watch did not abandon their postthey returned to the yintah immediately after being released from jail to support us and have continued that support. The same day we saw actions from our allies and friends in Tyendinaga as they halted passage of trains through their territory and started to #ShutDowncanada. We love and appreciate everyone who came to Wolverine Watch, to visit, to stay, and to fight for our lands. Snecalyegh! - Sleydo Molly Wickham We are currently working on never seen before footage of this raid and the subsequent invasion of our yintah scheduled to be released on Feb 10th. Stay tuned. Our friends and allies from Tyendinaga are still facing charges from last year in the colonial courts. Winter is hard. This campaign imagines what it would be like if our thoughts had their own social media account and a supportive community of commenters to take... care of them. winter_thoughts: "are holiday dinners triggering af for anyone else? Ugh, not in the mood, but here we go... #BahHumbug #HolidayHater #Ugh" comment replies: from influ3ncerrr. - "Remember, you don't owe anyone your time! But, if bailing isn't an option, do you have supports to check-in with after?" from a.neighbour - "Too real... I am also a "holiday hater" we can work out a safety plan together if you want??" from childh00d.pal- "Thinking about you! Give me a call after? Or, you can always chat with supports from SAC?" reminder-- the SAC crisis and support line is open 24/7, you're not alone. 519-751-3471 (image description: the first graphic shows the post from winter_thoughts' account, there is a picture of an empty dinner table that is set for a festive meal. the second graphic shows the comments)
