Hey folks! LSPIRG has recently collaborated with Revitalizing Our Sustenance (who will also be a new Research and Action Group). Revitalizing Our Sustenance Project (ROSP) is an Onkwehonwe (Indigenous) youth-led program with a goal to educate, reclaim, revitalize, and sustain Haudenosaunee (Hodinosoh:ni:) food systems and cultural practices. Revitalizing Our Sustenance Project (ROSP) was created in May 2020 and was formed to address the barriers in Canadian and Indigenous fo...od systems, in addition to the lack of youth programming on-and-off reserve in agriculture. Revitalizing Our Sustenance began as an avenue for getting youth involved in producing food for the Six Nations of Grand River Territory, which has ultimately led to the creation of this Indigenous food and seed sovereignty focused programming that works to increase access to Indigenous foods for more members of our community. For more information about the amazing work they're up to, follow them on Facebook and Instagram! And if you want to support, they're currently hoping to get a grant that is partially being determined through a voting system. Check them out here and make sure to vote! And the same goes for students!
As covid numbers rise, and the weather becomes cold, we know that this season is going to be difficult for a lot of folks in our community. We thought it was im...portant to remind this group that CareMongering Brantford-Brant is a space of grassroots, community-led, Mutual Aid, and that we will continue to show up for each other through these challenging times! Here is a lovely resource, made for CareMongering Brantford-Brant, to explain what Mutual Aid is and how it is different from models of charity. Let’s continue to show up for each other with care and intention!
One of Laurier Brantford Queer Sphere 's students, Nedward, created this very moving map of trans lives lost. You can view the full map here: https://uploads.knightlab.com//f4e2dfd9465/test/index.html

A reminder for you today. Your gender is beautiful. Your gender is valid. This is true whether you are in a supportive environment or not #YouAreNotAlone #HomeButNotAlone #TransDayofRemembrance #TransIsBeautiful
Go Beverley Jacobs and Theresa McCarthy! Two strong and knowledgeable ladies.I definitely want to tune in on this, and maybe you want to as well. THIS EVENT IS ON NOVEMBER 17 (original flyer in Two Row Times says Nov. 19). Spread the word, the correct date is November 17
Today, on Trans Day of Remembrance, we are thinking of all of the lives lost due to anti-trans violence. To all trans, nonbinary, Two-Spirit and gender diverse students, you deserve better. We must continue advocating for a safe and just world for you, on and off campus.... You deserve to survive. And you deserve to thrive! #TDOR #TransJustice
