For the first time in our history, The Canadian Legion is asking us all to stay safe by staying home for Remembrance Day on Nov. 11. Why not get your family together to paint stones or rocks & then leave them at your local monument to remember those who gave us our freedom with their lives. Pefferlaw & District Lioness Club Christmas Angels Once again Christmas is quickly approaching and the Lioness Club & Christmas Angel committee is very much aware that many of our valued donors have faced unprecedented economic challenges over the past many months as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. What a strange and different world we are experiencing ! However, the Lioness Club is anticipating that there will be a greater and more urgent need for assistance this year,... as many families face difficult circumstances. Children especially will be impacted--encountering a bleak holiday season without the traditions of parades , parties and visits with Santa. Therefore, gifts under the tree and a festive meal will be of special importance this year. The Lioness Club, through its Christmas Angels Program, is committed to helping families in our community again this year.. Even if your financial contribution cannot be as generous as in the past, we hope that you are able to support our project. Every little bit counts !
