What does a cow say to scare away a ghost? Moo! Happy Halloween
I bought this gem of a book at the Edmonton Museum book archives sale many years ago and it was the inspiration for our latest www.lucendsranch.com blog post. VIKING PRESS New York 1952

https://www.finishedwithsalt.com/healthy-chicken-potato-so/ Beef and chicken broth are what’s simmering on the cook stove today while the guys bring more cattle home from pasture. This soup should warm them up when they get home.
Our new truck for delivering grass fed goodness to you. But who needs a refer today?
It happened to us today... My brother Tom was heading home with the loader after he and I were hauling bales. So simple... flat hwy, good visibility and a truck... rear ends him... Our neighbour got to Tom and the truck driver right away, they were both standing but very shaken. Our neighbour found Mom at home at took her right out to where the accident happened (It was only about 200m from home). Dad and I got out there a little while after and, after making sure everyone was okay, we started to marvel at the fact that Tom was still alive and thankful that the truck driver didn’t have a passenger. Now some can try and deny the power and even existence of God. Logically speaking, Tom should have been seriously injured if not worse... period. But worldy logic, physics, and all medical realities in the world are made foolish by the power of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 1 Corinthians 1:25 His seat and steering wheel were bent and wrecked. If they were damaged then why wasn’t Tom? The force and speed of the tractor hitting the ditch tipped him into a pile of glass with a speed and force that should have given him some serious injuries on top of the ones from the initial impact. Defies logic. When I got to Tom, he was sitting in the grass drinking a coke that a driver who had stopped to help had given him. His leg hurt a bit but there was not a single scratch on him! Words fail to describe what God did for us today. It is because of Him that we have Tom another day and not be resided to a named cross in the ditch and the thought of why him? I can’t help but think in the light of what happened to also feel sad that our good old tractor was so damaged. We have all spent thousands of hours in it and have lots of good memories while using it. We got it to our mechanic’s place right away and we will assess the damage and see what can be done. The lesson learned today is that GOD NEVER FAILS! AND FOR GOODNESS SAKES SLOW DOWN WHEN YOU SEE A TRACTOR!
