Good Morning Lucky Lake School Families. We continue to wait for the power to be restored in our area. All classes at Lucky Lake School are cancelled for Tuesday, March 30th.
Buses are NOT running this afternoon. However, school remains open as per usual. If you are unable to pick up your child(ren) at 3:30, please call the school and we will ensure they arrive safely at their billets. Thank you.
Please note that all Lucky Lake buses are running and the school is open. We will plan to billet children should the need arise if the storm hits here. Please call the school if you have any questions or if you are picking your kids up early.
Due to weather, power outage, and COVID restrictions, all classes at Lucky Lake School are cancelled.
One of our library bulletin boards this month is all about the "Feels". Reading books about feelings and experiences is almost like actually living it. Our brain makes connections when we read, so when we read about feelings we can strengthen our daily experiences. One of my favourite books about feelings is on display under the board and is called "The Way I Feel" by Jannan Cain. This picture book is perfect for bedtime reading to reflect on a child's day and connect thei...r experiences with the emotions they felt. Below is a link so you can read this book at home if you can't get your hands on a copy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=ITPUxVQ6UIk Happy Reading! Mrs. Lowe Illustrations and rhyming text portray children experiencing a range of emotions, including frustration, shyness, jealousy, and pride. Feelings are neither good nor bad, they simply are. Kids need words to name their feelings, just as they need words to name food, clothes, toys, people, etc. Strong, colorful, and expressive images go along with the verses to help children connect the word and the emotion - Scholastic
