Getting ready for today’s Final Walk-Through! Here is a checklist of things to do and look for during the final walk-through to ensure your soon-to-be home is move in ready: Turn all light switches on and off to ensure lights and ceiling fans are working.... Bring a phone charger to test all of the electrical outlets. Test faucets and check for leaks, test the hot water, make sure all drains are clear and properly draining water. Look out for mold or water damage. Test all appliances, including the stove, washing machine and dishwasher. Make sure the fridge is cold. Turn on and test the fireplace. Check that doors and windows open, close and lock. Flush the toilets. Inspect walls and floors for damage. Check the garbage disposal and exhaust fans. Test the thermostat (heat and air conditioning) and check out HVAC units Ensure the garage door opens and closes, and the remote works. Check exterior for damage or new cosmetic issues. See more
