Tips to create a space for your home yoga practice: -Find a corner of your home where you can roll up your mat and have space to stretch your arms and legs on the floor. -Decorate this space with things that inspire you with out making it busy (books, flowers, crystals...) -Have close to you blankets, pillows, yoga blocks and a chair. The body changes day to day so is nice to have props to support the practice according of how you feel. You can get your props in your local s...tore. Not much hey! And let’s begin the Journey. Love Valentine day is coming in a couple of days. A day we express our love to our special people. What if we let them know whenever we can that we love them. And always remember to love yourself first. How can you show self love everyday?... I do it through my yoga practice, organizing my time so I don’t feel overwhelmed and be able to dedicate time to the things and people that matter the most. See more

Have you used a tennis ball to relieve sore or achy muscles? Has it worked? It is a time-honoured, simple, self-treatment tool for chronic muscle aches and pain...s. The concept is to apply specific pressure to a stiff or aching spot in a muscle by trapping it between your body and something else: usually the floor or wall. The goal is to achieve a release by applying the right amount of pressure: enough to do some good, but not so much that it’s irritating. The sensation should be strong and satisfying, what people often call good pain. Ease up if you are wincing or gritting your teeth. You need to be able to relax and hang out there for a minute or two. It’s therapeutic value is unclear, but it can definitely feel good, like scratching an itch. Two common ideas are: the pressure creates a small, local stretch that resolves spasm or tightening and/or the pressure mechanically pushes stagnant fluids out of the area and once released new blood flows back in. Regardless, it feels good and many people claim to experience profound relief from the focused pressure. It’s also cheap, portable, convenient and safe to experiment with (as long as you don’t get carried away)! Try it next time you need some relief and let us know how it goes!
