Luka the pup that needed a knee

I haven't totaled Luka's vet bill.. but I'm going to guess it's around $8500.00 (since mid December 2019). Her second surgery is June 19th, and will bring that total up to about $14,000.00. Dr. Oz has been amazing, but holy Luka sure is keeping things tight.

It's been a long road, we had the follow up xrays today. Great news! Luka's right knee has healed perfectly with minimal arthritis. Horrible addition... she has wreaked her other knee, not quite as severely yet. So it's been a bittersweet day. I'm so happy we were successful with the hard work, so thankful for everyone who helped us along the way. I'm also absolutely sick to my stomach with the choice we're facing, again. So. ... 1.Do nothing, or 2.Request the orthopedic surgeon assist on our case again and fix the other knee. I am going to figure something out, I think we will choose option #2. See more

Thank you everyone! Luka is doing great! We are not seeing Dr. Oz this week but hopefully next week she'll get her stitches out

She's doing well! She's a bit bruised and still swollen but is on the mend. We are starting her range of motion exercises today :) baby steps towards a healed pup.

Luka's tplo survey went great! Dr Oz donated supplies and waved the over night charges. We are home and recouping now
