Congratulations to the Northside Creators Market! The parking lot is full. I’m thrilled to be in line to get in. What a great first week in their new location.

I can’t tell you how much fun and how many amazing friends I’ve met on the campaign trail over the years. If you haven’t volunteered on a campaign before, a municipal campaign is a wonderful way to help the brave people who have allowed their names to stand on the ballot. I was so fortunate to have Margo Sheppard andTroy Haines for Fredericton city council, Ward 3 support my campaign in 2020. When I asked them what they are needing for support the answer was: volunteers. I’m so excited to put a call out to all of you to join the folks who are running for city council in your ward. What are the most pressing issues in our community that the province should be doing a better job at addressing?

Is it time for a $15.00/hour minimum wage in New Brunswick? Should the province help small business make the transition to a higher minimum wage? Would you as a customer still shop local as often or more often as a result of businesses paying better?

Led by previous Conservative governments we’ve increased our reliance on the United States. Perhaps we need to reverse course? Perhaps it’s time to consider voting Green and producing more locally? In this case our lives may depend on it.
