I was having a discussion with a friend about resistance, and how during this full moon I wanted to let go of resistance to change... And she brought up the notion of "Vive la Révolution" which means pushing through a system's agenda that doesn't serve the masses... loosely put. And as much as I agreed with this, it didn't resonate with what the definition I was trying to feel in my heart center... and then I remembered this quote.... Which turned out to be a prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr who composed it in 1932-33. The quote we hear most often goes as such: "God, give me grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other." There is two distinct differences in the prayer I share & this quote: 1- The things that must change comes before the accepting of what cannot 2-The prayer insists on having courage on what MUST be changed, not simply what should be changed. It reminded me how important it is to keep moving forward, to keep growing, no matter the challenges and the obstacles, the hardships and the pain. It reminded me of my journey and how I was not able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, As I kept moving forward I started realizing how my happiness was worth fighting for.... It took time .... But I see it especially now and it is worth it. Honey .... It is worth it. And when the time came to accept letting go control of the outcome.. Darling.... That's when the Real magic started happening. That is when you start seeing how incredibly beautiful and powerful you really are. To all those who have any doubts . Yes you are and will see your incredible light. Just Start Believing in yourself. ..... To conclude, I have done the first part and I'm still doing the first part of this prayer so what I truly want to let go I believe in terms of resisting to change , is letting Go of the outcome of any given situation, whether it is in terms of "La Résistance" or of my simple everyday creations.
