Meaning crown of two in lucumí, the Yoruba-derived liturgical language of Cuban Santeria. AdeMeyi fuses funk, RnB, soul, flamenco and Cuban trova with influences as diverse as Amy Winehouse, Síntesis, X Alfonso, Daniel Caesar, Pablo Milanes, Jamiroquai, Elena Burke, Mercedes Sosa and Camarón de la Isla. For this performance Ad...eMeyi continues to explore their Afro-Cuban roots by introducing a tambor batá sound mixed with funk and soul music.
