Our pup spent last Sat at the dog hospital (she's feeling much better now) and where she had the iv, she's been licking it to the point it's looking quite angry. I made a calendula balm for her last night, just calendula infused evoo and beeswax. It's completely edible and safe for both dogs and humans.

We hope to have enough honey next year or the year after to sell. If you want the best benefits from your honey, check your local farms/farmer's markets etc. Buy local!! https://www.mybeeline.co//how-can-we-differentiate-100-pur

Some interesting info about our amazing helpers! The bee season is winding down, and soon I'll have my soap space back again. We have done a lot of shuffling around & will not be lacking space next season. At least so we think :-)

Finally got a batch "cooked". Made only with olive oil, a bit of coconut oil, colloidal oatmeal and a splash of fresh, whole, "cream on the top" milk. Usually this one I do 100% olive oil (aka Castile), but with the introduction of coconut oil, it is now called Bastile. I'm hoping the method and the coconut oil will speed up the cure time significantly. Not sure how well the rolled oats will remain on top, the soap had really cooled down by the time I was finishing up. Ah, the battle of soaping when you're sick.

Last night's soap cut this afternoon. I'm quite happy with the colours and swirl. I will let this one set for at least a few weeks to see how much the uncoloured part "morphs" due to the high vanillin content (11% roughly). Not quite decided on a name for this one yet.
