Hello everyone! Just letting you all know that face-to-face sessions are happening again, with Covid 19 protocols in place. Telephone sessions are also available if preferred. If you are coming in for a session, I have a co- therapist in training on site, her name is Luna, and she is in the process of being registered as an animal assisted therapy dog. Please feel free to request NOT to have Luna on site during your session in the event that you are allergic or generally uncomfortable with animals/dogs.

Happy Friday everyone! This week the province moved into Phase 3 of opening up. Some EAP coverage providers are not yet allowing face to face sessions, however ...others are; with this in mind, I am able conduct some sessions face to face, with COVID 19 protocols strictly in place. ALSO, the Lumen office telephone is currently not working properly- if you have left messages or tried to call, they can't be accessed at this time due to problems with the phone service. I am in the process of getting the issues looked into and resolved, however it is taking some time! Until the phone line issues are resolved please call 250-394-7294; or email [email protected]. Hello everyone! Just a quick update- as we are moving forward into Phase 2 provincially, Lumen is able to provide limited face to face sessions starting this week- however it is important to note that this will only be provided for emergent/crisis situations. COVID 19 safety protocols are in place; in person sessions are now 45 minutes to ensure time to clean/sanitize offices and the waiting area between sessions, and masks are encouraged. As well, seating will ensure two meters of space at all times. In non-emergency situations, telephone counselling remains the main modality available. Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying spring break- in spite of the wacky times we find ourselves in with the COVID 19 situation! Lumen Counselling Services is closed during spring break, aside from Thursday March 19th, where a full day of individual sessions is currently booked. For those with appointments on the 19th, I will be in the office but am happy to switch to telephone sessions in the interest of supporting social distancing during this time. For those of you whose EAP provider is Homewood Human Solutions, Humanacare, or Aspiria, all sessions are now mandated to be conducted by telephone until such time as the COVID 19 pandemic is no longer an imminent health crisis.
