Congratulations to Carol Fisher for finding the Ace of Spades with eight cards left. Carol takes home $75,000 and we couldn’t be happier to have her as our Grand Prize winner. Carol is a well known member in the community of Lumsden as the face of the Public Libray and she and her husband Chris have been involved in the community in many aspects over the years. We also congratulate North Marie who was the weekly winner of $8820 as our first name from the drum. We are certain this win will help with North’s schooling as when we called her she was watching an online university lecture. Thanks to all who supported our Chase the Ace event this year. Denny and Sam have been working hard to make sure the staff and the Hotel are ready for you. They have been given permission by SLGA to extend the deck area into the parking lot (40 x 40 area) with chairs and tables, etc. Similar to indoor seating, Covid protocols will be in effect. Even with the expanded areas, please be aware there will be a limit as... to how many patrons can be in the Hotel. Regarding the draw procedures. If your name is chosen, you will come up on stage, we will provide hand sanitizer and a mask for you. Cards will be shuffled, you cut the deck, cards spread out and then you point to your card of choice. We will turn over the card and voila! There are Fireworks in Lumsden today. The annual Scarecrow Festival, Covid style, will culminate in a Fireworks display at River Park at dusk. And on Thursday night this week, more Fireworks with the final draw in the Chase the Ace program. The Club only has 8,820 tickets remaining so this will be the final week for sales.
