We're so excited for our longtime Lunasea collaborators - Shelley Thompson, Francine Deschepper, and Sylvia Bell. Shelley Thompson's short film, Duck Duck Goose, has had a great year. Last September, FIN (The Atlantic Film Festival) selected DDG for Best Atlantic short. It went on to be selected as one of Telefilm's Not Short On Talent at the famed Clermont Ferrand Film Festival in France, and play across the states and Canada and....Slovenia, where it's played three major... Slovenian Festivals in the last month. Produced by Sylvia Bell, with Cinematography by Chelsea Innes, it's a finalist in the CBC's Short Film Faceoff, and this Saturday, August 24th, the selection of the winner will be determined by voters across Canada. Voting opens after 8 PM across the country, 9 PM in Nova Scotia, and 9.30 in NFDL. The winner will receive $40K Can, toward another film project - $30K cash, and $10K from William F Whites in kind support. Amazing help toward another film. We are so excited to share information on our next project! We will be having a staged reading (featuring the wonderful Martha Irving and directed by the incredible Ryanne Chisholm) of "Memories of Sara Corning". A new play by Christine Bolger. The reading will take place September 19th, 7:00pm at the Yarmouth North Baptist Church.
