These hand sanitizer sprays are available for sale in our office, and they are amazing and I mean AMAZING!! They are made with 99% alchohol, aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil, and essential oils so they don’t dry your hands out. There are three scents to choose from and they are all so good!! Tea tree, peppermint, eucalyptus Lemon, grapefruit, ylang ylang... Lavender, bergamot, mandarin $12 each We absolutely LOVE them!

Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, local authorities are asking all visitors to postpone trips to the qathet region, from Saltery Bay to Lund, including the... Sunshine Coast Trail. Recreation Sites and Trails BC (RSTBC) has advised that people may continue to access recreation trails to day hike and recreate, but visitors are reminded to practice social distancing, stay home when you are sick and follow additional measures outlined by public health experts to prevent infection and transmission of COVID-19. For those who decide to use the trails, be mindful that you are responsible for your own safety and should exercise additional caution as trails may not be groomed or maintained during this time. Based on the latest recommendations from the RSTBC and until further notice, we are asking that all hikers refrain from using the huts, outhouses and other recreation facilities where there is a risk of increased social contact and contact with frequently touched surfaces. We consider the health and safety of our peers, volunteers, and visitors our number one priority, and we hope you understand these measures during this time. Missing Savary...trying to find beauty where I am....patience..

Lund Water Taxi 05.07.2020

It’s a very different Easter for all of us. Traditionally this is an extremely busy one for us...but here we are, not a single water taxi or barge booked for tomorrow. Thank you for staying home. I know we all want to be on Savary this sunny holiday weekend, but hopefully sacrificing this one will give us our summer! Stay well

At this time Lund Water Taxi will be taking only those residents who permanently live on Savary Island. But we are also discouraging these people from taking the water taxi. Please consider ordering what you need from town and we can deliver it to the island for you. Those non-residents who are on island now, will be allowed to leave to return to their homes. https://www.prpeak.com//powell-river-region-asks-visitors-

COVID-19: Non-Essential Travel to Savary Dear Members of ASIC... and the Savary Island community, The Province has declared a State of Emergency, and the qathet Regional District has activated an Emergency Operations Centre. The federal and provincial governments are asking that people stay home if they can, to help stop the spread of COVID-19. For the safety of our community, ASIC is urging people to refrain from any non-essential travel to Savary Island at this time. Savary is isolated and therefore vulnerable in emergency situations. A large health crisis on the island would be impossible to manage. From everything we are learning, it is clear that COVID-19 could easily become that crisis. We include messages here from Fire Chief Chris Philpott, and Lund Water Taxi requesting that people refrain from coming to Savary. Doug Dalzell, ASIC President ------------------------------------------------------ Message from SIVFD As the Fire Chief of the Savary Island Volunteer Fire Dept, I totally agree with the request from Lund Water Taxi regarding non-essential travel to Savary Island. Our First Responder resources and training are limited to basic patient care and our self-protection on island. And the difficulty in transporting an infected patient to hospital makes the situation significantly worse. Please let us all endeavour to stay safe and healthy by self-isolating and staying at home. Chris Philpott, SIVFD Fire Chief ------------------------------------------------------ Message from Lund Water Taxi Dear Lund Water Taxi Customers, With the spread of COVID-19 around the world and in British Columbia, we are becoming increasingly aware of the risk to our staff and customers. We provide an essential service to the isolated community of Savary Island. It is the goal of our business to continue to provide this service, and we will do everything we can to maintain it. That being said, we request that at this time, everyone refrain from non-essential travel to and from Savary. Many people have been travelling to Savary in the past weeks for vacation. While we want to continue to serve you, we are concerned about the spread of this virus in our community. It is our mutual responsibility to do everything we can to stop the spread of COVID-19, and for this reason we are asking you not to travel to and from Savary unless it is absolutely necessary at this time. We want to keep our staff, customers, and community safe. This is not possible if Savary is inundated with people. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times. Stay home, stay well.
