Lung Liu Photography

Mag and Konstantin, two of the warmest and most humble and grateful people that I have ever had the privilege to photograph held their ceremony in an oasis within the city.

Despite the torrential downpour on the Sunshine Coast, the Vancouver Burner community came together and created the most elaborate, sophisticated, and detailed DIY wedding that I have ever photographed.

I remember sitting in the Nest years ago in a late night conversation with my friend Vlad Chesnakov and he turned to me suddenly and asked, "Lung, what is the most powerful force in the universe?" I gave it a moment and replied, "The strong nuclear force?" He admonished me like a parent would a child, "No Lung," he gently touched my arm, "it is love. The most powerful force in the universe is love."... I was witness to Krystal and Jasper's engagement and discovered the trials they endured to be together. And on this day, it has become apparent that no force in the universe can tear them apart. Not electromagnetism nor the weak nuclear force. Not the gravity well of the black hole in the center of our galaxy nor the strong nuclear force that binds the nucleons of all matter together. Love is the most powerful force in the universe.

I photographed the wedding of Luke and Lucy at Hycroft Manor with ukasz Szczepaski and it was gloriously beautiful. Best backup shooter I've ever worked with!
