Regina will be having their Virtual Walk for Lupus Saturday September 26th. As you know, May is when we host our Walk for Lupus fundraiser. As a volunteer not-for-profit organization, fundraising is critical to providing support for people affected by Lupus and funding valuable research. So rather than cancel the walk, we are being innovative and hosting a Virtual Walk. We hope you can participate in a physically distancing walk on behalf of Lupus families and friends that ar...e collecting pledges. This year’s pledge sheet is attached. Thank you to all.Our Virtual Walk for Lupus total donations raised to date is $7465.00. Thank you Saskatchewan! Your donations will help people impacted by Lupus, an under-funded and under-recognized disease, as well as fund valuable research. Despite the fact that over 1 in 1000 Canadians are living with lupus today, there is still much to be done in regards to research and recognition. Together, we will find a cure for Lupus!... A long-time member and Lupus SK Saskatoon Area Contact, Betty Cole, along with nine walking friends, will participate in a physically... distant walk on behalf of Lupus families and friends that are collecting pledges. The 10 friends will walk by the river on the morning of May 24th and wear signs supporting Lupus SK and the people they are walking on behalf of. Please note, we are following Public Health orders and therefore, the actual walk details will not be shared publicly. However, the media will be invited, and pictures will be taken and shared on the Lupus SK Facebook page. Watch for our Walk for Lupus 2020 mascot, Sadie the Dog, who will be joining the walkers.
