The Luseland & District Museum is so excited to be open for another season! Agriculture will be our theme in the coming months. The pioneers in the area were farmers and our community is still rooted in the land. Many farming artifacts, new and old, are preserved at the Museum. If you are a member of the current generation and want to experience what it was like on the farm 100 years ago, stop into the Museum on the first Saturday of each month May to September to take part in a new activity!
The Luseland Museum invites all kids to the Museum on Saturday December 14th from 11:30 to 12:30 for a photo with Santa! Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance to join in the fun! From 1:00 to 2:30 there will be carol singing. Stop in at the Museum and join in singing some of the well loved Christmas carols!
Guesses for the October Mystery Item included everything from a whisky still to a water filter and a water heater! The correct answer is a Grain Moisture Tester, guessed correctly by Walter Zunti and Frank Hughes. Thanks to everyone who took part in our Mystery Item contest. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the town and surrounding area, thanks for an awesome season!

Our July Mystery Item was a rasp used to file or float the horse’s teeth! Yikes! Floating a horse's teeth is the process of gently filing away sharp edges or hooks to present a firm, flat surface for more efficient chewing. Here is our August Whozit Whatzit Item. Post your guess or stop in at the museum for a look at the real thing.
