As a little girl I was read fairy tales usually always involving a prince. As a teen watching Romantic movies where there was always a happy ending of falling in love. It made me believe the only way to be happy was to find love be in a relationship, that a partner is all you need in this life to be happy and make life worthwhile. BUT what if we were taught to be the love of our own life first, to enjoy your own company, that you don’t have to please anyone else, that you don...’t have to be perfect, that no one is responsible for your happiness and you are not responsible for anyone’s else’s, that you are going to struggle and fall down, that you are loved just the way your are. THEN when and if we choose to be in a relationship we will enter it because we choose it, not because it is the only way to be to have a fulfilling life.
