Advertising: creating a feeling of lack in others. I have always enjoyed advertisements. Television radio or print Everything is intentional in a well run Ad. It is meant to affect us to choose a product or service. Is it inherently evil?... No, I don’t think so. BUT when we aren’t scrupulous about what we are being fed it easily could be. -my why for Lux Ink isn’t as hidden as this 80’s ad featuring Tony Danza *look at it a minute with me... A woman wearing a nice outfit on a bench. A skirt. (Nothing wrong with that!) A woman walking with a man. She is wearing slacks. (Why not, feminists fought for that right!) A man gentleman looking back at the first woman in skirt. Years before the women’s movement would have never allowed such a thing. We were told to believe we wanted the slacks not skirt. Women everywhere ran out and bought some Levi’s! But the ad here is now saying to get the men’s attention wear the skirt obviously with Hans pantyhose. As though that is now our goal. Dump the Levi’s now go buy Hans. (Obvious note: a Gentleman does not behave this way! Shame shame Tony!) 1) I already see you as beautiful. I want you to see it too. Whether you choose permanent makeup or not. But I know what a difference it made for me.
