We understand that everyone is super excited (as we are too), but before we do reopen our doors, I just wanted to put out a few reminders to our loving clients I forgot to mention that the Covid Questionnaire will still be required to be filled out 24-48 hrs before your scheduled appointment. Who misses working?? Looking through my 25k photos stored in my phone, Im beginning to think that getting the iPhone with the largest memory capacity isn’t so great if you’re a procrastinator Here’s some powder brows I did before the shutdown ... I did Microblading on her some 4 or 5 yrs ago when I was just starting out and you can see that they healed red-ish (normal). And she agreed to powder brows this time around! Some years ago, I used to work with this pretty girl at a local Internet pharmacy. We used to giggle and laugh together during our breaks and now almost a decade later, I’m doing her brows and STILL giggling like little girls together Thank you @oekyalivm for choosing me to keep your brows in check! It’s always a fun time with you bubs! *Initial Microblading done back in 2017 (by me), transitioned her to Combination Powder Brows (manual hair strokes at the front and powde...r throughout). With her amazing (normal) skin type, these brows should last at least 2 yrs without needing a touch up. Oilier skin types are recommended to come in annually to freshen up the colour as they fade faster. ** I apologize to my clients whose pictures I’ve yet to upload. I am knee-deep in pictures that need to be cropped/edited. I often have to choose between working on clients or posting on social media...it’s THAT time consuming, unfortunately. First off, how is everyone doing? Winnipeg’s second wave of Covid-19 couldn’t be any more real and I know AND feel that a lot of you are struggling. Myself included Some days I feel like I am Super Woman and I can get through anything. And some days, I feel like my worries are getting the best of me.... Had the pleasure to work on this new mama who very well deserved to treat herself to new and amped up brows before her maternity leave ends. All thanks to her loving husband for gifting her a Lux gift card for Valentine’s ...which yes, we know ended 8 months ago I love it when a brow appointment goes perfectly! And this has a lot to do with the client following the Pre-Care Instructions. Yes, there are certain things you, as the client, have to prep for so that we ...can achieve optimal results and avoid any possible complications during your Microblading or Powder Brows appointmentsuch as no caffeine for at least 24 hours prior to your procedure. Pls check our website for full details of the Pre-Care Instructions: www.luxnco.ca One of the things that will often affect retention is excessive bleeding. Caffeine, alcohol, or some medications will cause heavy bleeding. Why is bleeding bad during your appointment? 1. It makes our job harder as we can’t see the skin we’re trying implant the pigment into 2. Pigment is being pushed out by your blood as we’re trying to implant it in 3. Causes you more pain If you’re naturally a heavy bleeder or don’t numb very well even with the strongest anesthetic, always let your artist know ahead of time so that we can allot for the appropriate length of procedure time.
